Warehouse operations from receiving to shipping

Manage receiving, label generation and scanning, put-away, stocktaking, stock transfers and barcode-based shipping. Raw-material and finished-goods warehouses, containers, user roles and put-away/picking rules are managed separately, with shipping verification and wrong-item alerts.

Labels, approvals and shipping verification

  1. 01Arrival and receipt

    Generate, print and attach labels on arrival; scan goods, count receipts and store them in assigned locations.

  2. 02Inventory management

    Count and relocate stock and monitor inventory alerts. Archive part photos and production drawings with materials, then retrieve them by mobile scanning to support picking and spot checks.

  3. 03Dispatch preparation

    Shipping plans proceed through request, approval and optimisation. The system then generates packing and delivery documents before barcode-based picking and goods issue.

  4. 04Scanning and checks

    Shipping verification works with first-in, first-out controls and raises alerts for incorrect goods issue. Last-in, first-out is available only under separate authorisation and is distinct from the standard shipping rule.

Handheld barcode operations

Material warehouse

Barcode-based queries, receiving, relocation and dispatch; receiving and dispatching returns; transfers into the material warehouse; stocktaking; and receipt confirmation.

Finished-goods warehouse

Barcode-based queries, pallet loading, relocation and dispatch; transfers between pallets; substitute selection; dispatching and restocking returns; returning finished goods to stock; transfers into the finished-goods warehouse; and whole-warehouse or finished-goods stocktakes.

System administration

People, roles, material and finished-goods information, warehouse hierarchy, material and finished-goods locations, containers, alarms and data backups.

Special permissions

Last-in-first-out authorisation; corrections to material and finished-goods stocktakes; authorisation to transfer into the material warehouse.

Policy management

Put-away, retrieval, return-to-stock, mixed-storage and handling policies.

Material master data, warehouses and locations, visual management, RCS integration and external interfaces.

Receive inbound information, manage receiving tasks, print labels, sort deliveries, register receipts by barcode and perform quality inspections.

Warehouse, material and order visibility

View warehouse state through layouts, location heatmaps, inventory records and material history. Dashboards show inventory, material alerts, receipt and dispatch volumes, shipment trends and order details.

Colour blocks illustrate location states only, not actual warehouse scale, live stock or system capacity.

Warehouse heatmap

Use green for empty, blue for full and yellow for abnormal, alongside rack-storage status to show occupancy.

Zones and locations

Zone information, layouts, location details and lists of stock in normal status, together with inventory information and material history.

Inventory and orders

Remaining stock and turnover; order counts, item counts and turnover efficiency; trace order details by ID, goods and operations; classify exceptions and review progress and root causes.

Trends and alerts

Receipt and dispatch trends by orders and items; stock-quantity and material-usage rankings; alerts when inventory falls below or exceeds a threshold, with replenishment or stock-reduction suggestions.

Dashboard configuration

Warehouse totals and per-warehouse statistics, receiving and shipping trends and detail status; configurable dashboards, BI settings and QR-code dashboard output.

Warehouse operations and connected systems

The architecture links ERP purchase and sales orders, MES production plans, material requirements and production results, and TMS transport instructions and status. WMS operations connect to shop-floor equipment through WCS and RCS.
